after 5:00. if you're just waking up, time for the latest your money report. >> jessica doyle is here with today's headlines. good morning. >> nobody likes to be a loser. that's where we're a winner this morning. first winning day this week for wall street. world markets have been heading higher today, too, thanks to improvements in the european debt crisis. as for u.s. investors, they're going to focus in on the consumer today when personal income and spending numbers from august are released later this morning. checking the numbers, the dow starts today at 13,485, added 72 points in trading yesterday. nice pop there. nasdaq no slouch up by 42 points. google was a huge winner yesterday. s&p 500 was better by almost 14. >>> sometimes your stock goes up becomes things aren't as bad as everybody thought they would be. that's the case with research in motion. shares up 20% after the bell likely to pop this morning. that's after the maker of blackberry posted a large loss in the second quarter released after the closing bell but that loss not quite as steep as everyone was expecting. >>>

:06. jess -- it 16:06. jessica doyle is here with another your money report -- it is 6:06. jessica doyle is here with another your money report. >> the iphone is here. >> start lining up. the iphone 5 arrives on september 21, a little over a week away. you can start placing your order tomorrow, people. apple is expected to sell tens of millions of units before the year is out. as you probably heard by now, the phone is thinner and lighter and a third of an inch taller. it will start at $199. the iphone 4s drops to $99 with a contract and the iphone 4 will be free. but does the phone live up to all that hype? "the wall street journal" reports there are some disappointed folks out there. the phone does not come with certain features that have become popular on some androids. for example, tapping your phone to pay something, tapping phones to share information, facial recognition and wireless charging. and speaking of cords, if you want to use your old iphone accessories, you're going to have to shell out $30 for an adapter. that's because the new version of the apple phone has a smaller 8

is monday, september 17. i'm andrea roane. >>> i'm jessica doyle in for mike hydeck. it is monday. we will get through it. olga is here with weather first. >>> we're off to a good start. you probably have noticed a little bit of mugginess. humidity is high but we have pretty good conditions. satellite and radar has been quiet. i amtraking a cold front coming our way tomorrow and into wednesday. we're looking good right now in d.c. i'm expecting plenty of sunshine through morning, even midday. i think it's going to be pretty nice as our temperatures squeak out of the 60s, into the 70s by lunch time. it should be a pretty good afternoon. we'll increase our winds. however, breezy later on. 10 to 15 mile per hour winds. watch for increasing cloud cover late in the day. i say 3:00 to 4:00 we become mostly cloudy but before that our temperatures should make it into the upper 80s. upper 70s to near 80 degrees. so definitely going to be a warm one for today. it does look like we'll top out around 79 degrees at reagan national airport. the next three days could seem a little stormy us for, esp

project to upgrade the city's sewer system is not going to be done till 2025. >>> 6:05. jessica doyle is watching your money and your credit score. >> it may not be nearly as important as you think. why is that? >> well, it may not be exactly what you think because you may not really know what your credit score looks like. if you've gotten your credit score lately, it may not be the same one your lender is looking at. the consumer financial protection bureau studied 200,000 credit reports. it found one out of five people are likely to get a score that is dramatically different. what that means is better or worse, you could be getting better terms on your loans or worse terms. the score a lender sees can depend on the type of loan you're getting. there are 49 different fico scores that determine how risky you are. they don't have any way to know which score the lender is actually using and how it jives with the report they buy from the credit bureaus. the agency says consumers need to shop around in case the lender see as higher score than they think they actually have. >>> if you want

. >>> it is 6:06. jessica doyle is watching your money and your jobs. >> talk about the presidential election is all about jobs. the unemployment report is coming out. what would you expect? >> probablyemployers probably added about 120,000 jobs. it would keep the current rate at 8.3%. roughly 12.8 million americans remain unemployed. the august jobs report also critical one since the federal reserve meets less than a week later focusing in on the state of the job market. but some occupations are doing very, very well right now. according to our partners at career builder, job listings are up 74% year over year for software engineers. you can thank all the smart devices and the internet. customer service representatives have seen a 50% increase in job listings. rounding out the top five, social media managers up 48%. truck drivers are up 45%. that's thanks to an uptick in manufacturing activity. also pharmacy technicians. they saw a jump of 43%. >>> on the campaign trail,a lot lot of folks are -- a lot of folks are asking the question how are your finances doing compared to four years ago? cn
